Writing Software That Ignores Its Writers.
Most writing tools build in silence. You send feedback through a contact form, it disappears, and six months later an update arrives that has nothing to do with what you asked for. You never know if anyone read your message. You never know what is being worked on. You are left guessing.
This is how writing software has always been built: by a small team making decisions in a room, with no real window into what the people actually using it need most. The disconnect is not accidental. It is structural.
WriteO's Feature Board puts the community in the room. Every upvote, every submission, and every pipeline update is public. This is a community-driven, transparent roadmap. You do not have to wonder. You can see it.
The Feature Board gives writers a direct line to the product. Submit a request, vote on ideas you care about, and watch them move through the pipeline from proposal to live feature. The community shapes the roadmap. The roadmap is public. And you always know where your idea stands.
Submit. Vote. Watch It Ship.
Three steps. Fully transparent. No black holes.
Submit Your Idea
Sign in and open the Feature Board. Click Submit a Request. Give it a title, a clear description, a category (editor, characters, plotting, AI, and more), and an impact level. Publish. Your idea is now visible to the entire WriteO community.
Vote on What Matters
Browse requests from other writers. Upvote the ones that match what you need. You can cast up to 5 votes per day. Sort by Top, New, or Trending. The community's votes are public, real, and directly inform which features climb the pipeline first.
Watch It Ship
The WriteO team reviews requests, marks them Planned when confirmed, In Progress when work begins, and Released when the feature goes live. The Roadmap tab keeps you updated at every stage.
Every Stage of the Roadmap. Always Visible.
Feature requests do not disappear. They move through a public pipeline with a status attached at every step.

Four tabs. One board.
All Requests covers everything. Roadmap shows planned and in-progress work. Community surfaces top-voted ideas. Completed is a full history of everything shipped.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I submit a feature request on WriteO?
Sign in to WriteO at studio.writeo.app and open the Feature Board from the navigation. Click Submit a Request, fill in a title, description, category, and impact level, then publish. Each account gets one submission per month. Duplicate detection is built in, so the system flags similar requests before you submit.
How does voting work on the WriteO Feature Board?
Every feature request on the board has a vote button. Click it to support the idea. You cannot vote on your own submissions. Vote counts are public and determine priority in the Community and Trending tabs. You can cast up to 5 votes per day across different requests. Voting is free.
What do the pipeline stages on the roadmap mean?
Requests move through six stages: Pending Votes (newly submitted), Under Review (being evaluated), Planned (confirmed for a future release), In Progress (actively being built), Released (shipped and live), and Declined (will not be implemented in this form).
Where can I see what WriteO is currently building?
The Roadmap tab on the Feature Board shows every request with a status of Planned, In Progress, or Released. You can see exactly what is confirmed, what is being built right now, and what has already shipped.
How many feature requests can I submit per month?
Each WriteO account gets one feature submission per month. The quota resets on the first of each month. You can upvote other community requests up to 5 times per day, and this does not count against your submission quota.
